Just got spammed by them (well, they probably sucked my email address out of jobserve or jobsite). Their copyright says '2000 - 2005' but that seems like a blag to give the impression of maturity. They reckon they have exactly 1497 top recruiters currently searching their database.

My current contract was for three months. It is up for renewal in a week. I currently contract for Agency A with has a contract with Agency B which is a Consultancy and it places me with the end client.I would like to bypass Agency A and contract directly with B or the end client. My contract with Agency A says

Anyone recommend some sites for looking for contracts in said countries. Also any hints, tips and methods to getting the jobs. Advice on how to contract agencies e.g do i need to keep phoning an agency in said country to get things sorted or do some agencies have rep in the UK.

As I see it I have 3 options:
1) Get out now in the fist month as I am only on a weeks notice - only this is a slow period fro contractors and I can't afford to be out of work for very long.
2) Do 3 months and then hand in my notice with hopefully a bette rchance of getting a new contract.

Does anyone here now what the typical outcome is when you fill in the highest level (DV) forms? In other words, unless you have a criminal record, got caught with your hands in the till, some unaccounted for time abroad or an unusual family background, is it almost certain that you will eventually (4 months or so I believe!) be cleared? I'm at a contract with a large global company, the contract was initially for 6 months (now months 4) I have been told my contract will be extended by 6 months, maybe 12, possibly 18months.

So the question is when should one ask for a rate rise ? I know that by the 12 month or 18 month period the contract will end, so should I get in there ASAP or wait until the 12 month renal?

I have another question for you all.

I have reviewed my contract and been advised legally that it looks that it should indeed be outside of IR35 (yes - a grey area I know!)

Anyway, my question is what in everyone's experience is a typical notice period if either party wishes to terminate the contract for any reason (i.e. not a material breach). It's a three month contract for the record.

I have read that Tiscali do a affiliate program for 200 which seems a lot of money since i would be giving them business. I have also heard UKFAST do a reseller program.

Does anyone have any experience of dealing with these companies or can recommend any?
