How can Britain lose with Tony Blair, David Beckham, Ken Livingstone, Richard Caborn (what team do I support again?), Lord Stratford (Tony Banks) and Lord Coe gunning for us.

Anyone but the French! I couldn't care if it's held in Outer Mongolia, but after Chirac's sly dig at British cooking, obviously intended to try and nudge the decision away from Britain, I'll be gutted if the French win.

Can't imagine the scene when Tony Blair shakes Jacque Chirac's hand at the G8.

Seems that Chirac's criticism of our traditional home cooked meals of vindaloo and kebabs washed down with lashings of lager may have backfired.

Quote: That's just what I thought. Oh well at least we should get that pile of Bricks where the Bishopsgate Arches used to be turned into an Underground Station. Now then what's the chances of Crossrail actually getting started. |

guess the trick is to buy now in Stratford or thereabouts and rent the place out (so tenants pay the inflated council tax bill), then sell a year or so before summer 2012.
Right, I'm off to get an Olympic mortgage! |

How much is council tax going to be raised, if at all? 10-20 extra a year? Hardly going to break the bank is it
Be happy...in 6 years time all of Londons transport problems will have been solved and you will be able to get in to work on modern, up to date trains that no longer suffer from failed signals Mailman |
